Before we plunge into the mysterious narrative of this gripping film, let's take a moment to reflect on the enduring legacy of the NBC Monday Movie and its midweek companions, Tuesday and Wednesday Night at the Movies. We do so in honor of the 97th anniversary of the launch NBC, which on November 15th, 1926, debuted with a four hour radio broadcast from the ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City. The NBC Monday Movie, a television series that graced screens every Monday night from 1963 to 1999, was originally introduced as "NBC Monday Night at the Movies."
