Streaking in Sports? No Harm. No Foul.

Image
When streaking becomes professional, does that mean it's serious business or just for laughs? Can't it be both? TheArchive decided to undress this conceit. Sports are back - let the streaking commence! Streaking rose to popularity in the early 1970s, as disruption to sporting events to demonstrate rebellion.  As the phenomenon grew in prominence across live sporting events, security and event handlers would do their best to diffuse the situation and discourage the daring and baring.  But alas, the streaking continued. Providing a sense of comedic flare to the otherwise tension-filled dynamic of the game, spectators seem to enjoy  both and have come to expect if not demand some nude diversion during the big game. In STREAKER , our favorite streaker movie we've acquired yet, t his Swiss film spotlights the high stakes competitive world of streaking; money and pride are on the line, and bets are placed to see who can stay on the field t...

Whatever you stream, don't fall asleep.

Fall asleep??? Not possible with Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, and Betty herself Ms. Bacall coming at you. And that would be some serious horror if Lauren Bacall could get to you. In her current state and all. So yeah you heard us - we have some A List stars up in TheArchive . Keitel, Law, and Bacall are in Presence of Mind . And so is Nilo Zimmermann. You know, Lydia Zimmermann's son. Their name has two Ns. So much name dropping here. They should have dropped the extra N though. And if you haven't unfollowed us after watching that gem we buried the leads: Mutant - which is a legit good little freaky creature feature. One Dark Night - Adam West. That's enough. Uninvited - this one features the OG "Flerken" that Captain Marvel clearly ripped off! And th ere's all kinds of Amityville horror t o watch. Not the original classic good one. You can get that on Amazon Prime.  While you're there download our app . Not that Ryan Reynolds one either. But we DO have th...

Josh Kirby: Time Warrior or Serial Killer?

Image
Josh Kirby: Time Warrior or Serial Killer? (aka an unnecessarily deep dive into Josh Kirby) Every clickbait article on Facebook, Twitter, or Buzzfeed seems to go on about how great the 90s were. Well, as someone who lived through it, I can tell you it wasn't all that great. The Phantom Menace, Ruby Ridge, Waco, the Beanie Baby craze; all equally bad. These, however, pale in comparison to what could possibly be the worst thing about the decade... the creation of the scariest children's character, ever: Josh Kirby . Be afraid. Be very afraid... Having sat through these six movies, I'm 99% sure our protagonist is a serial killer who has imagined all of the adventures we see on screen. Oh, you want proof? Are the ravings of a crazy person, driven to insanity after months of Covid-19 isolation, not good enough for you?!?  Well, here you  go: 1. Josh's weird fascination with watches. In the very first scene , we see a dresser drawer full of watc...
