TheArchive and our Galaxy of Misfits
May the 4th is over! Now it's time to get ready for yet another Galaxy of stars!
Before you race out this Cinco De Mayo to see the last installment of misfits in space, we have our own assortment of star lords, outsiders, and oddballs to get you ready for Guardians of the Galaxy.
TheArchive features a few Groot-worthy gems below that may just feature a whole planet of outlaws you've yet to meet.
In the year 3034: humans have become a race of emotionless drones bent on destroying all other species in the galaxy. The Earth's Mightiest Ship, The Dreadnaught Nemesis, embarks on a mission to destroy their latest enemy: The Reptids, an alien race who plan to travel back in time to the 21st century and use a weapon that will enhance human emotions, hoping to change mankind’s destructive tendencies.
In the summer of 1981, a tragedy of epic proportions sends five friends on an epic adventure. All they have to do is follow the stream to their destination and back. With Rainn Wilson, Mario Lopez, Kelly Rutherford... what could possibly go wrong?
Even Greydon Clark played in the genre. Forced from his planet by an alien takeover, a young prince takes intergalactic flight. He finds refuge on Earth and befriends a boy named Brian. Together, they fight for the freedom of the galaxy. Holy shit, that's a big plot.
If you haven't had enough of Star Wars from May the 4th, here's a little something extra. When Star Trek premiered on television in 1966, it dominated the world of sci-fi--that is, until Star Wars hit theaters in 1977. Since then, the two franchises have battled for pop culture dominance.
