Rosario Dawson, a household name in Hollywood, is much more than just a talented actress – she's an inspiring figure who triumphed over a tough upbringing. Growing up in a small apartment with her mother, Isabel Celeste, who was a singer and writer, and her younger brother, Dawson faced financial hardships in a neighborhood plagued by drug-related issues. But her spirit was undaunted. Despite these obstacles, she discovered her passion for reading and acting, which ultimately paved the way for her remarkable career.

Dawson's determination led her to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, where she honed her acting skills. Her debut in the film Kids in 1995 marked the beginning of a prolific career. She went on to captivate audiences with her performances in movies like Men in Black II, Sin City, and Rent

Rosario Dawson also stars in the film Side Streets, directed by Tony Gerber where five interconnected lives are dramatized in each of New York City’s five boroughs during the hottest day of the summer. A fashion designer struggles in Manhattan; a Bronx woman dreams of a glamorous life; an Indian woman on Staten Island must deal with her husband's gluttonous brother; a Queens gambler envisions a better life; and a Jamaican man in Brooklyn pawns a valuable heirloom. The film also stars Jennifer Esposito (The Boys, Crash), John Ortiz (Silver Linings Playbook, Ad Astra, American Gangster), and Valeria Golino (Rain Man, The Morning Show S2)

Lastly, as the summer draws to a close, there's a heartwarming film that perfectly captures the essence of these fading days while giving a nod to a beloved galaxy, The Stream.
